Swollen Throat And Discomfort After Eating Spicy Hot Wings
Hi, I am 21 years old, 160 lbs and 5 10 . about2-3 weeks ago I had very hot buffalo wings and my throat became very swollen and I had a lot of discomfort. It has give and came back since then, sometimes bad and sometimes not as bad. I still have a lit of discomfort and swelling. Do you think it is an infection, food allergy or something serious I should be worried about? I also smoke, if that has anything to do with it.
Welcome to Healthcaremagic Forum,
You need to answer few questions to know what could be your problem. Do you have this problem every time when you take beef? Or was it only on the first occasion when you had the buffalo wings? If the discomfort was only during the first occasion then it could have been the allergic reaction, but if it happening repeatedly without consuming the beef, then it is only the pharyngitis. If it is only pharyngitis then you need to drink plenty of warm water and do gargles with povidone iodine mouth wash.
Take care
Regards
Dr. Naveen Kumar
