Swollen Tonsils, Difficulty Talking, Swallowing, Breathing. What Should I Do?
My right tonsil has been swollen for the past week or so, and is getting worse. I find that I am having a more difficult time talking, swallowing , and sometimes breathing. It seems as though my uvula and tonsils are closing the gap for my esophagus and windpipe. Have no insurance at this time, and not too sure what I should do.
After reading your post, it seems that you are having tonsillitis and needs proper medical attention.
You can take anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen one tablet twice a day afer meals along with an antacid like Omeprazole 20 mg for relief from pain and swelling.
Antibiotic should be added to treat the causative organism.
You can take Azithromycin 500 mg once a day for 3 days along with a probiotic preparation.
Warm saline gargles are also helpful in reducing your symptoms.
If possible get yourself examined and investigaed by an ENT specialist.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
