General & Family Physician Dr. Pavan Kumar Gupta's  Response
Hello,
The medicines described by you are anti tubercular medications and PYZINA doesn't result in worsening of blood sugar levels.PYZINA is known to cause hyperuricemia and not HYPERGLYCEMIA.
Since injection LANTUS is a long acting insulin and takes care of only basal insulin, you require short acting insulins as bolus injections to tackle high blood sugar levels.
Consult your doctor regarding this.
It is very important to keep a tight control of diabetes not only to prevent future micro as well as macro vascular complications but also to treat tuberculosis effectively and properly.
Thanks
