Tailbone Pain, Completely Under The Skin And Bonelike Hard. Is It Pilonidal Cyst ?
im a 23 yr old 5'7 125lb female, for almost a year now i have had tailbone pain that seems to be getting worse as time goes on. the only thing i have found info on is a pilonidal cyst but not sure if my symptoms match. i have formed a very hard lump at the base of my tailbone but it is completely under the skin and bonelike hard. i cannot see anything as far as just looking at it, no inflammation, no redness, nothing. with pilonidal cysts do they always look more like a pimple? or could mine still be one even though i cant see it
Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. Thanks for calling H.C.M.Forum. you are 23 years old, female, 5'7", 125 lb, since one year you had tail bone pain, and is increasing, there is a hard lump at the base of your tail bone, searched as pilonidal cyst. Your assumption might be correct, but in that case the pain might be still more. If it is an infected cyst, must be incised and drained to get the relief. other causes may be the injury of the joint, arthritis, etc. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Best regards.
