Taken Orgamed To Delay Periods. Correct Medicine?
Hiii doctor.i wanted to visit a religious place and had asked the doctor to prescribe medicine for delaying periods.my periods were due on 21st sep. Doc gave me orgamed and asked me to take one tablet daily but i got my periods in 19th.since i wanted to delay to 24th i got it on 19th n my trip was wasted.kindly let me know if orgamed is used for delaying.

Orgamed can be used for delaying your periods.
Ideal dosage would be twice a day, to ensure that you do not get your periods .
If your periods were due on 21st September, you should have started taking them from 15th or 16th of September onwards, and continued till the 24th.
After stopping the tablets, you would have bled within a week maximum.
Probably you did not take them on the appropriate dates.

Orgamed is a brand name for medroxyprogesterone. It is also sold under the name of Meprate. The drug is basically progesterone which is a female hormone.
This is the right medicine to postpone your periods and is generally started three days prior to the begining of your periods and is continued till the time you want to delay them
Unfortunately for you,your periods got early because of some or other reason.
