Taken Antibiotics For Lymph Node Swelling. Chest X-ray Shows Haziness In Lungs. Visa Problems?
My friend had lymp node swelling in under arm and doctor gave some antibiotic for 45 days.but it didnt help.finally surgery was one to drain the abscess and open biospy was done.it suggested chances of tuberculosis.so she started taking antibiotic for tb I.e. akt4 .after 2 months of surgery still there is some abscess draining from the drainaige hole.its now reducing.and dr say it can take long time.now my friend wants to move to uae for job.so dr suggested to do chest xray.the xray showed small haziness/consolidation in left lower zone of lungs.now my que is why it is taking s long to stopvabscess formation in lymp nodes and can this lead to tb infection in lungs and cause problem in har medical test for getting visa in uae.
Yes it can be a tb infection in the lungs as your friend already has a tb infection of the node. The infection of tuberculosis is a chronic one and will take time to heal sometimes even 3-4 months but as the drainage has not subsided I will advise you to send the fluid or pus for culture or if you have sent it earlier when the node was excised and biopsied then check for antibiotic sensitivity. Accordingly you can change the drugs for tb and then it should be better. I am sorry bit you will not get a visa and clearance till the infection persists and you have no other option
