Everything I read online says four doses and only five if immuno comprimised. Do I need a fifth dose? and if so wll it still be effective? What do you recommend.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M.Forum.
Scratching don't develops rabies.
2ND point , you had taken 4 dosage of anti rabies vaccine.
In my opinion this is sufficient.
Need not to take fifth dose.
Only in canine teeth of animal ( rabid) presents rabies virus.
If bite is there than it is a cause of concern.
Sheer licking or scratching don't develops rabies so don't bother.
Hope you enjoy life without frustration of cat episode.
Good luck.
