Taking Cipro And Advil For UT Infection And Kidney Stone. History Of Seizure. Due To Medicine?
I was diagnosed with a kidney stone yesterday amd severe UT infection. I am taking Cipro. However, I was not told that I shouldn't take ibuprofen for pain. I've been taking 600mg of Advil since yesterday and I am in so much pain (overall body, bad headache, back pain, can barely walk). Back in June I had a seizure for the first time. Is this most likely to happen again from the Advil and Cipro mix?
Ciprofloxacin is usually not given in our hospital for patients with seizure disorder since it is known to cause seizures. Advil is not contraindicated in UTI unless the s creat is on the higher side. A better pain killer for you would be Tramadol at his point as it is kidney safe. Please re visit your doctor and discuss my suggestion with him
I hope I was of help Regards
