Taking Ginette 35 For PCOS, Irregular Periods Problem. Does It Prevent Pregnancy ?

Iam taking Ginette 35 as per my Gynochologist's prescription. My age is 24. I have polycystic overy & sufferring from irregular period from July 2013 to September 2013 . My question is that is there any side effects of this medicine? How long I have to take it? Is the medicine prevents pregnency or can it be used as an oral contraception?

I read your concern and as you know Ginette -35 is anti androgen drug is safe drug for treating irregular periods due to PCOD .. It is also found that Ginette has effective contraceptive action and is safe to prevent pregnancy .
It is not advisable to take other contraceptive pills if on Ginette 35.
There is not much side effects but few reported weight changes and breast tenderness .
This 21 day pill has to be taken minimum of 3 months as adviced by gynecologist to see positive results in health.
