Taking Lithosun, Qutipine And Lonaz For Bipolar Disorder, However Lithosun Level Is 0.57. What Does It Indicate?

hello sir ,my father was suffering from bipolar disorder in 1996, but it was detected in 2004 in NIIMHANS BANGALORE& also prescribed ilthosun 300(thrice a day & sizodon.But this thing happens again after his retirement &he is suggested to take lithosun 300(thrice a day),qutipine sr 200 mg& lonaz.5 by AIIMSdoctor for 10 days & now his lithosun level is .57. now we r in adilemma what to do.

Hi
you mean the blood value of drug is 0.57 if it is so what is the problem. THE blood value of this drug should be between 0.5 to 1.2 on which drug is supposed to be effective .It is slightly on lower side .Rest of drug is ok In my patients I advise to continue the drug for long time and would increase the dose so that blood level comes near 0.9.Frquent consultation with psychistrist and blood level of this drug plus serum cretanin to find out kidney function I would do in my patients
