Taking Thyroxine. Irregular Periods. Worried About Possible Pregnancy

After My Last period i started Taking thyroxine 25 mg. Now My period is 11 days Late. I tend to have an irregular Cycle but cant help being worried about a Possibly pregnancy, although My First Sexual intercourse, which did not last longer than 1 minute at the most was one day ago with a condom and my partner did not ejaculate. What should i think??

Dear Ma'am,

Sorry to hear about your problem. Altered periods are a part and parcel of thyroid problems and can cause a lot of anxiety to the patients.
If you had intercourse one day before your periods, then there is no chance that you might be pregnant but to be on the safer side, it is better to get a urine pregnancy test done.
