Taking Andadol And Zinnat For Cold, Fever And Throat Infection. Need Medication For Persisting Cough
my wife 2 days back suffering with cold , fever ,and throat infection she can not able to eat and talk.we had meet our doctor he has given 3 types of medicines i.e zinnat 500 mg 2 tablets per day andadol 500 mg 2 tablets at a time like 2 times per day,and loratadine tablets 10mg 1 tablet per day.using 2 days after she feel good no fever cold throat infection but started heavy continues cough .why she was getting cough if any tablets effect please give me remidy.in my home what are the precautions can i take.to control cough please give me reply. thanqqqqqqqq

Cough and cold symptoms can last 7 to 10 days in most persons. In some cases the cough can last up to 6 weeks after the viral infection has resolved.
The cough is as a result of the viral infection irritating the respiratory tract, increased mucus production and in some cases, partial closure of the airways.
There are cough suppressants available over the counter that she may use. If the cough is wet then she may want to use a mucolytic agent that will break up the mucus and make it easier to expel it.
These should also be available over the counter.
Honey is also thought to help with coughs.
