Taking Bystolic And Verapamil. Eating Healthy But Feeling Weak. Could It Be The Medication?

I've been taking bystolic 10 mg and verapamil 240 mg - 1 of each a day. I have also been trying to eat healthy and sticking to about 1200 to 1500 calories a day. I am 74 years old, weigh 220 and I am feeling weak. I've been taking these drugs for about a year. My weakness seems to be getting worse. Could it be the medication?

Hi Thanks for using HCM.

Bystolic 10 mg and verapamil 240 mg. Both these drugs can cause weakness and this may be one of the cause for your weakness along with your age, calorie and nutrition intake. Betablocker with Verapamil is irrational. Consult your Cardiologist for the same. Also consult your dietician for the right amount of calories required. Wish you good health.
