Taking Calcium For Knee Pain. Decreased Fluid Between Knee Joints. What To Look At?
I am 68 years old taking calcium tablets to supplement my deficiency due to pain in the left knee cartillage. Doctors said its due to the decrease in fluid between knee joints. It s much better now, however I am more aware of keeping myself healthy by taking a supplement. can you advise what should I be looking at, in terms of a supplement covering most required vitamins/minerals at this age.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The decrease in joint lubricants is due to an age related degenerative change of the joint. Taking supplements like chondroitin and glucosamine will help you in addition to calcium that you are taking. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
