Taking Klonopin, Getting Breathing Problem, Feels Like Something Is Stuck In Way To Cough. Is It Normal?

I just started taking my klonopin .5 the other day. I was told to break it in half cause I have a medication phobia and also am afraid of feeling high or dopey. I took the .25 last night an had some breathing problems 7-8 hours after my dose. It was enough to make me worry about it and not sleep. Now tonight I have taken the same dose but the breathing problems are hitting me 2 hours in. Is this normal? It feels like something is stuck in the way so I have to cough. But there isn't anything.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
Your symptoms and the medicine you are taking has nothing to do with each others, it may be functional problem due to the phobia as you have described here, you better stop the medicine, then this problem will pass way, soon,,have good day.
