Taking Metroprolol For Slight BP. Accidentally Took 2 Tablets. Anything To Worry?

5' 8", 200lbs, 54YO - taking metoprolol 25mg for slight BP, once in morning - BP was excellent last time at Dr. (2 wks ago) 110/76. I accidentally took another one (feel stupid) while trying to take my other med approx 15 minutes ago. I am on Symicort Inhaler and Spiriva for COPD (early stages).

I am not experiencing any issues, but should I be concerned as I will be going to bed in 2 hours?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM
Metoprolol is a beta blocker which reduces heart rate
and mild anti hypertensive.
High dose can lead to low heart rate which may cause giddiness, loss of Consciousness,Bronchospasm(breathing difficulty esspecially in COPD patients).
As you do not experience any problem (usually 50 mg of Metoprolol may not harm) I suggest you not worry but be careful regarding the doses.
Bye,take care.
