Taking Regular BP Medicine Telma, Still 150/100. Should I Take One More Table?
I am a female of 60 yrs taking regular Bp medicine Telma for last one month My B.P still remains around 150/100mg in the evening.Should I take one more tablet of Telma AM or Telma 40mg during night even after taking in the morning and what is the Maximum dosage for 24 Hrs.
Usually for the control of hypertension we follow single, dual and tripple drug strategies. If blood pressure is not controlled with single drug then there is no point in increasing the dosage.
Add another group of drug, starting with low dosage, the group of drug might be from calcium channel blocker or a beta blocker depending upon heart rate and other factors. Dont worry.
Thanks
