Taking Thyronorm. Puffiness On Face, Weight Gain. Can I Increase The Dosage? Any Side Effects?
hi doctor,am having thyroid,so am using thyronorm tablet 75 mg everyday.but recently i felt little puffiness on my face and was becoming over weight,so i have increased the dosage my self with out consulting any one,now am taking 150mg daily ie 2 tablets in the morning?and now my face is ok.is it fine or do i have any side effects if i take little higher dosage?

Dose of thyronorm tab is decided by level of T S H level .
higher doses than required will lead to features of thyrotoxicosis the reverse of hypothyroidism.
It will be better to discuss with your doctor and get the dose regulated .
