Teenager. Delayed Periods. History Of Having Unprotected Sex. Any Chances Of Detecting Pregnancy By General Check Up?

I'm 15 years old. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on July 10th, 2013. I was a virgin previous to the sex, and he did not penetrate deep enough to tear my hymen and it was not torn previously to the encounter (through horseback riding, vigorous bike riding, etc.) as far as I'm aware of. He did not ejaculate in or on my vagina. I was supposed to get my period on July 13th, 2013. I've heard that females are most fertile right before their period, but I wasn't thinking and I regret that now. I haven't gotten my period since and I recently went to the doctors for a checkup. My doctor did not know that I'm involved sexually with my boyfriend but I am 100% healthy and they found nothing wrong with me. I'm curious if the would be able to tell if you're pregnant through a checkup or not if you didn't tell them you might be. How could this pregnancy affect me because I am so small and young? (5'0" and 95.4 lbs) I have so many more questions. Thank you.

Hi,
You have wrong idea about fertility period and wrong concept about intact hymen does not mean sperms can not enter into vagina and does not have risk of pregnancy.
If your period is normal then roughly first and last week of period is safe period.
So in your case you had sex during non-fertile period.
Initially doctor can not have any idea regarding pregnancy.
Wait till you get period, if not then go for pregnancy test after 7-8 days passed of your expected date of period.
Take morning mid stream urine for testing.
Ok and take care.

HI ! At the outset I would suggest you not to have any kind of unprotected sex in future not only to prevent pregnancy, but also to prevent many more complications associated with it about which you may be knowing by now. You should have given information about your unprotected sex to your doctor, basing on which they could have done some basic investigation of your urine, and possibly a serum HCG and an ultrasound to rule out any chances of pregnancy. Early pregnancy has to be taken care of properly to prevent any complications of it. So consult you family physician with conveying him with full information on yourself. Good luck.
