Teenager. Has Hemoglobin H. Normal, Healthy Lifestyle. How Will Starting Of Periods Affect If More Iron In Diet Is Consumed?
Hello, my 14 yr old daughter has hemoglobin H. It is apparently minor since she lives a normal life. We do not have a special diet or take any sort of supplements or vitamins. She swims about 2 hrs a day (swim team) and is fairly good (one of the best in her team). My question: How will starting her menstrual cycle affect her? If doctors generally advise normal women to take iron or eat more meat during the women s cycle, because of low iron or blood, how will a period affect someone with hemoglobin H? Thank you.
since your child is growing so need extra iron and vitamin supplemnts so that growth will be proper yes iron requirement more during mearche menstruation because normally there will be loss of blood
