Teenager. Irregular Periods. Thick Brownish Discharge For Whole Month. Will The Pill Help?
I'm a 17 year old girl, and have had my period since I was 11. It has always been irregular, however lately it is getting worse. recently I went 7 months without a period but after that it got better and became more regular.
1 month ago i started to get a thick brownish discharge (occasionally i get this before my period starts) but this has lasted almost an entire month (enough to fill a liner everyday). I was wondering if this was normal, or if there is anyway to stop this from happening again? would going on the pill help??
Need to investigate properly to rule out underlying pathology by USG lower abdomen, Thyroid profile, LH/FSH etc. So consult with your doctor and take suggestive measures.
Key treatment: low carbohydrate diet, weight reduction by regular physical exercise, avoid mental stress, hormonal medication and other supportive drug.
Good luck.

Hello, Above features are mostly suggestive of ovarian cyst or PCOS. Other reasons are pelvic infection, stress, hormonal imbalance, over weight etc. Good luck.
