Teenager. Small, Hard Cyst On Top Of Testicle. No Pain. Sexually Active. Suggest

I have a cyst on the top of my roght testical. I believe it is a spermatocoele if thats how it is spelled. I am 17 i noticed it 3 days ago. No clue how long it has been there though. It is the size of a Lima bean. It does not cause pain or discomfort. I did squeeze it a bit to see if it was hard or soft. It is a little harder than my testicle. But after that it did cause some irritated pain. But nothing serious. Is it cancerous? I have been with my girlfriend for 3 years we lost our virginity to each other so i dont think it is a STD or STI. Reply ASAP im worried.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

A hard to firm lesion on the testicle can be due to many causes.
It could be a cyst, an epidydimal cyst.
There are various remnants of testis called appendices of testis.
These are normal structures of testis and do not cause any harm,
Spermatoceles are structures formed after vasectomy.
After vasectomy, the sperms in the semen can lead to formation of spermatocele.
Besides it could also be a primary skin lesion, like skin tag, papilloma, wart, etc.
For knowing the nature of the lesion, an ultrasound of the testis is required.
Consult your surgeon for clinical examination, relevant investigations, and management.

Thanks and take care
