In Ayurveda we categorise diseases in three categories sadhya asadhya and yapya. yapya means those diseases which can be cured but are not easy to cure. this psoriasis is a yapya.Amongst herbal medicines we use khadir arisht haridra khand tab.allerin and gandhak rasayan with local application of dermafex oil. This has to be taken for a long time till all redness and scalling is cured

Psoriaisis is def a chronic problem and it may or may not go permanently from ones body,but yes it can be controlled effectively by proper medications.Medication in allopathy depends upon the ds extent.Kindly mentions what percent of body is involved.There are various medicines like oral methotrexate,acitretin etc.This can be associated with phototherapy(UVA & NBUVB) to give very good result.Diavobet is also a good medicine but only for localized lesion .The latest in the treatment of psoriasis is a kind of injections called BIOLOGICS (costly but effective).EXCIMER Laser also can treat psoriasis but only localized ones.So consult a good dermatologist who can treat you logically and effectively.
