The ER Discovered I Had Bilateral Ovarian Cysts When I

The ER discovered I had bilateral Ovarian Cysts when I went in for shortness of breath and weakness due to a 30 day cycle. I was told the Left ovary had one that was 6cm and it was larger than the ovary itself. I had a lot of pain with my cycles for the last 11 years and last year I had a few boughts of nausea and vomiting with them. The last 3 have been totally painless, not even a headache! However the 4 month hit and I just never stopped with my cycle and my blood levels dropped to 10. I was referred to an OBGYN here in town since I am new here and didn't have one. My mom had endometrosis at age 34. I am 39. Her ovaries, uterus, appendix, and part of her intestines were all removed. My question is with her having this history; am I more likely to develop the same and if the Dr recommends BC pills to help regulate my cycle or pills to shrink the cysts bc I am self pay; should I push for them to remove the ovaries?
