Hi OVER THE LAST WEEK OR SO I HAVE NOTICED REDNESS AND A THICKENING OF THE TIP OF MY FORESKIN, ALSO ABOU T AN INCH BACK FROM THE TIP THE SKIN APPEARS TO BE DRY AND FLAKY, ALSO AT THIS POINT THE SKIN SEEMS TO HAVE TIGHTENED MAKING RETRACTION A LITTLE BIT DIFFICULT ESPECIALLY WHEN ERECT, CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM MAY BE PLEASE THANKS NICK
Hello Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have developed what is called as Phimosis. Are you a diabetic? If you have not checked your blood sugar levels so far please get it checked to rule out the same. Since this problem is just from one week it could be due to muco cutaneous candidiasis. Please take ant fungal medication like fluconozole orally along with topical anti fungal gel for local application.for a week. If problem persists even after taking treatment consult qualified general surgeon for evaluation .You may need to get circumcised. This will resolve the semi-permanently. Dr.Patil.
