Thickening In One Breast With Visible Dimples Few Times Without Pain. What Could Be The Reason For The Change?
Hi, my 21 year old daughter has detected a change in one breast - I would say it is a thickening and it seems to be one size bigger now. We have made an appointment to see a GP tomorrow. I am naturally concerned about her age and the prospect of this being inflammatory and therefore aggressive. Could there be other reasons for this change in breast tissue - we always go straight to the cancer theory and would like to consider other reasons while we are so concerned about the one outcome. There is no pain and no overall puckering - but she has noticed a couple of dimples.
If there is no pain and tenderness then inflammation is less likely. Commonest cause of swellings in breast are benign lesions. Sometimes there can be asymmetric growth of breast in young women. Its right to get is seen by your doctor and if necessary get a breast ultrasound scan.
