This Friday Afternoon My Cardiologist Had Me Stop Metoprolol Cold

This Friday afternoon my cardiologist had me stop Metoprolol cold turkey. 25 mg twice daily.

I had taken the morning dose that day.

Nothing about tapering, changing exercise regimen.

Saturday I woke and attended my usually Interval training class. Where I avg a 135 HR for 45 mins. I wear a ban monitor that gives a detailed breakdown for each session.

15 mins in my HR is at 170, I rest standing at the station I was at, was able to catch my breath and bring HR back into normal range and completed the session.

It took a few hours to feel like a typically would after the work out. BP and HR finally back to normal a few hours later. But feel JG some spasms intermittently. Not AFIB, just other than intermittent spasm.

I am now 48 hours from last dos and considering going back to the 1/2 dose taper fro the next 6 days?

Thank you
