Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
This issue has been going on for two months and getting worse. It began with left side chest pain when I was projecting my voice. Then it hurt anytime I spoke and now it hurts constantly and then off and on when I speak. I get fatigued (not tired but sick feeling) in the evenings. As this has progressed I feel constant nausea. I saw an NP a month ago and she suggested antacids. I have taken antacids for the past month and it has done nothing. I began taking Claritin for seasonal allergies. No difference. I do not have shortness of breath or sharp pain when breathing in. I DO have a mild to moderate pleural effusion that has been there for years and we have never found a cause for it. During the two months this has been going on, I passed a kidney stone and thought perhaps that was what was causing the issue but the stone has passed (I think - no pain in awhile) and the symptoms of chest pain only on the left, nausea and evening fatigue remain. I don't seem to have any tenderness in my ribs or chest wall but I have been lifting quite a few things (but nausea doesn't seem to go with Costochrondritis or fatigue). I did have an endoscopy 12/17 and as has shown in two previous endoscopies, I had some very mild gastritis that the GI said some people always have and I should not be concerned about it.
