This Past Friday I Just Was To An Oral Surgeon

This past Friday I just was to an oral surgeon to have my upper left wisdom tooth extracted. Today two days later I decided, I would like to have a look into my mouth where my wisdom tooth was. I then noticed a dark discoloration in the roof of my mouth on the opposite side near the rear of my mouth. I do have a bad molar there (before my upper right wisdom tooth) that I was contemplating a root canal and filling. Prior to my procedure on Friday I was giving a prescription for antibiotics that I was to take 3times a day for seven days leading up to my extraction and was told that I have bone infection where that decayed tooth is located. I want to know is the discoloration a possibility of the infection or is it due to my extraction? It wasn't always there.
