Thoracic Spine MRI Shows Small Schmorl S Node At T9/10 & At T8/9
a recent thoracic spine MRI showed a small Schmorl s node at T9/10 and also at T8/9 and minor prominence of the pelvicalyceal system of the right kidney. what does this mean? could it be the cause of my constant abdominal and lower back pain (neuropathic pain) over the last three years???
Schmorl nodes, also referred to as intravertebral disc herniations, refer to protrusions of the cartilage of the intervertebral disc through the vertebral body endplate and into the adjacent vertebra.
Treated with surgical fusion or medical therapy.
Please consult your orthopedician/neurosurgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
