Hi,
K-wires can be very painful to have removed and then the fracture site can be painful for a few days. This is because the bones are very sensitive. The treatment is to take plenty of pain-killers. Paracetamol and ibuprofen would be the first line treatment, followed by codeine or tramadol if needed. Keep your hand moving as much as possible to avoid stiffness persisting. You are likely to feel better soon.
