Throat Irritation, Gets Cold Upon Taking Cold Drinks. Do I Have Sinus Problem? Smoker
I will have lot of oral secretions(mucus) upon awakening in the morning..I constantly have to clear my throat during the day. When I drink any cold beverages, I will catch severe cold immediately...Do I have some sort of Sinus? If so, what can be the remedy for my problem? Please note that I do smoke 5-6 cigarettes a day and take occasional alcohol.
First, quit smoking. To put it in simple language, it is a vicious cycle of constant irritating your mucosa and getting secretions; most of the chronic smokers suffer from this problem. Another thing; completely avoid trying to clear your throat. That can further irritate the mucosa and lead to more secretions.
