Throat Pain, Lost My Voice. On Antibiotics For Inflamed Lymph Nods. Advise?
The left side of my throat hurts pretty badly and I lost my voice. just yesterday it began to hurt on the outside as well when I press on it. I'm on antibiotics for inflamed lymph nods but I'm not sure it's helping. It almost feels like it's on my trachea but also around my glands and lymph nods... I just wanted to ask if this was normal and if not what should I do?
Hello Friend Welcome to H.C.M With little information and as per the history you have given and the clinical findings you may be suffering with acute laryngopharyngitis. Probably you are on antibiotic for which you may be resistant. need to get the culture and sensitivity of the throat.and accordingly you need to take antibiotic. along with that you can start with antihistaminic and steam inhalation. But still I would suggest you to consult the Specialist if you don’t get relief as on examination the findings may be different and line of treatment may have to be changed. Please don’t hesitate to consult and ask for any more query. i will be pleased to answer. With best wishes for a speedy cure Yours sincerely The Health Caremagic Medical Team
