Throat Sore, Swollen, Unable To Swallow Saliva. No Relief With Ibuprofen. How To Cure?
I have had a mild sore throat for a whole week now. It wasn't that bad on my right side but now it's on my left side and it's awfully painful! It's completely swollen and I cannot swallow my saliva or any liquids. I've taken cold medicines in the beginning thinking it was a regular sore throat but now I'm in horrible pain. My left side of my throat is so swollen and my left ear hurts extremely bad. The pain is almost intolerable and all I've been taking is ibuprofen for the pain. Can you tell me what this is?

Hi I think u are suffering from acute tonsillitis , but as your pain is particularly on lft side its better that some ENT has a look to rule out Quinsy. Meanwhile start on antibiotics Tab Augmentin 625mg two times a day and Enzoflam two times a day for five days
