Throbbing Pain In Vaginal Area Around Clitoris And Deep Inside, Worsened During The Day. Tested Positive For Herpes. Connection?
For nearly 3 month now, I have been experiencing a kind of throbbing or pulsing like feeling in my virginal area. It is hard to pinpoint exactly where but sometimes it’s around the clitoris or deep inside. At times it feels like ants crawling. It’s less frequent while I sleep and in the mornings but it gets worst later in the day. I have had all STD tests including HIV all of which are negative apart from Herpes which was a shock to me as I have never had Herpes attracts throughout my life. According to the results of the Herpes test, it is ‘an old’ Herpes. Do you think this throbbing is connected to Herpes? Am I having Herpes attack? What do you think is wrong with me? What can I take to stop this feeling?
Hi, Herpes is an infection that can cause small ulcers when in acute phase and in a chronic or old case, can possibly lead to herpetic neuralgia or pain in nerves in and around the genital area. also, herpes is one of the causes of pelvic inflammation/infection in ovarian tubes and uterus. You need have to have a pelvic examination to identify pelvic inflammation leading to pain in the parts mentioned. If the herpes is active, it surely needs to be treated medically. The crawling sensation can be because of neuralgia. Hope it clarifies!
