TIMOLOL MALEATE 0.25 &0.5 % SOLN. is a generic name and is used in ocular hypertension or glaucoma, prescribed by Ophtholmologists. There are so many brand names, manufactured by various Pharmaceutical companies. To avoid confusion in the names, always,it is better to prescribe by GENERIC names only,if needed add brand name in the brackets.
