Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your problem description. I assure you, as you suspected, the pain is due to over exaustion or over work. Drinking water whether col or hot cannot be a reason for the pain. Therefore just don't worry.

The pain must have caused due to some muscle soreness. Hot body withstands muscle soreness for some time. When the body gets cool and become more stiff the pain is felt.

Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
