Toddler With Loose Stools. Given ZN, Mebarid And Oflox. Suggestion?
Hi Doctor, This is vidya from bangalore, My daughter is running 11th month....she started lose stoles on 10th Aug 2012....it is still continuing...she will go for normal solid stoles in the morning and 3 times in a day almost semi liquid n liquid stoles. We had been to doc n they gave her...1) Sy ZN 20 3.5 ml once a day for 14 days 2) Sy Mebarid syrup 3ml 3 times a day for 2 days 3) Sy Oflox 100 syp 3.5ml 2 times a day for 7 days. She will finish her corse by tom....but still she goes for motion 4-5 times a day... Please suggest wht to do

4-5 times per day is not much. If the consistency is changing to semi solid that means its getting better. Continue medicines same but if its still watery then you need to get her again consulted to the doctor for any further investigations. Avoid milk feeds for a while.
