Took Anti-tetatnus Injection After A Dog Bite. Area Red With Cuts. Take Anti Rabies Too?
Hi. A dog bite me on yesterday night, i took an anti Tetnus injection today and plan to take anti rabies does tomorrow, but now worried is it not been late.. could you please suggest within how much time we should have an anti rabies does... is with in 48 hr is sufficient or its late.. also on the skin where dog bites have some cuts and surrounded area are reddish ... i little worried if its late please suggest.

As rabies has no cure, we suggest vaccination for any suspicious exposure. Usually it is bite and exposure to saliva which transmits virus. I would suggest you to take post exposure vaccination at the earliest - active vaccination with HDCV on day 0.3,7,14 and 28.
If wount is bad even passive immunization may be considered by doctorby(HRIG).
Usually status of dog is unkown so it is advisable to get vaccine.

no need to worry .. u can take anti rabies vaccine even now..u should generally take the vaccine as early as possible to prevent the symptoms of rabies ..
its not too late even now..
