Hi, Thanks for using Healthcaremagic, Your wife is having Tuberculosis, but good thing is she is already taking treatment for last 4 months. I presume she has lungs TB as it is not clear from your information. Anti tubercular drugs do have side effects like joint pain, Jaundice and Neuropathy etc. You should report these symptoms to treating Physician and if she is already improving and weight gain is there and clinical improvement is there in the form of no fever, cough and general well being improved. I is common practice to reduce anti tubercular drugs to 2 or 3 drugs. She should be investigated for complete blood count Liver function test, Serum uric acid level and kidney function test.
