Took Advil Liquid Gels. Felt It Went The Wrong Way. Tried Eating Bread, Hot Tea. Feel A Strange Pain In Throat, Have Bad Congestion.
I took 2 advil liquid gels two hours ago, I felt the pills 'go down the wrong way' and it feels like it's been lodged for over 2 hours now and I'm not sure if I should go to sleep. I've tried eating bread, drinking tons of water and hot tea and nothing is working. I feel a strange pain in my lower throat and my chest is starting to ache and feel like I have really bad congestion.

If it has really gone in the wrong way that is in to the trachea,you will have chocking sensation, cough ,breathlessness and that is a very serious condition.
I think it must have gone to the stomach, but if a very minute portion tickled in the wrong direction you will feel feel like that .
Also you have a bad congestion , that maybe the reason for pain in the throat.
If the same feeling persists for few hours more, better consult an ENT surgeon.
