Took Antibiotics. Rashes On The Arms With Swelling, Itching In The Groin. Allergic To Medication?
Hi there I am on holiday I had aches and pains and was given an antibiotic Ciprofloxico. I took the second tablet at 10pm and woke at 6am itchy all over. I now have a rash on arms and a very swollen inner thigh in my groin area and quite thick and spongey. 6 weeks ago I had an operation in Bangkok I was given tramadol for pain relief. I woke with an itch on my groin and swollen. Is it possible I am allergic to both meds or is it heat related. Why would my going swell? I am female Thanks
You develop itchy all over skin, rashes on arms and a very swollen inner thigh in groin area after taking Ciprofloxacin. These are due to a severe allergic reaction to Ciprofloxacin. Yes you are allergic to both Ciprofloxacin and tramadol, but is not heat related. You need to stop the medication and consult your Physician to change the antibiotics and treatment for allergic reactions is required.
Regards
Ranjit
