Took Pill To Lower Pressure In Eyes, Potassium Level Was Low. Put On K Tab. Had Irregular Heartbeat

After taking a pill to lower the pressure in my eyes in February, my potassium level was low when I saw my cardiologist a week later. He put me on K Tab 10meq 750 mg tab, 1 daily. He said it was low enough dosage that I should continue to take it. A couple of nights ago I had a period of about 2 hours with irregular heartbeat so I am wondering if my potassium level could be too high. Should I have it checked out? My email address is YYYY@YYYY . Thank you.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi,

I suggest to :

- perform a lab test for checking your potassium level,

- do an ECG and

- 24 hour Holter for the heart rhythm.

Thank you.
