Torn Ligaments, Broken Ankle , Swelling, Sharp Pain, Weakness. What Is Wrong?
Yes, I have torn ligaments and broken my left ankle a few times. I haven't hurt it serverely in a few years, but it has always been very swollen. Had no pain in it since I last hurt it, just a weaker ankle. BUT the past month it has felt very different. My ankle always cracks or pops when i turn it clockwise or vice versa (this has always done this since the first injury) but i'm having a sharp pain on the inside part of my ankle. Do you have any ideas or suggestions on what could be wrong?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The symptoms that you are having in the ankle are likely to be due to recurrent injury in the area,. This can cause some arthritic changes in the joint causing the persistent popping and crackling sound. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
