Dear rocky100007,
Lichen planus is usually treated with Corticosteroid skin creams in mild cases and with oral Prednisolone or Metronidazole along with Ultraviolet Light therapy in severe cases (Not methotrexate).
Prolong use of Methotrexate is known to cause Liver injury which is indicated by increase in level of SGPT( Normal range: 7-56). Since your SGPT is consistently increasing, it is advisable to stop or reduce dose of Methotrexate and start with other treatment as i have mentioned initially as per your symptoms demand.

Hope this helps. Take care !

General & Family Physician Dr. Pavan Kumar Gupta's  Response
Hello,
Your report is showing consistent elevation of SGPT and a continuous use of METHOTREXATE  seems to be the cause for it.
METHOTREXATE is known to be a hepatotoxic drugs and it not only cause elevation of liver enzymes but can also cause chronic fibrosis and cirrhosis.
this is definitely a matter of concern and guidelines suggest that if significant hepatic enzymes abnormalities persist for more than 3 months, then liver biopsy should be performed.
You must discuss with your doctor about it.
Thanks
