Treated For Ringworm Infection. Wound Scars Flaring Up. Need A Permanent Solution
A few years ago I got two ringworms. I treated them and thought they went away. They left two round scars that flare up when I'm stressed out. A few months ago I got a fever blister that healed and it two flares up just like the ringworm sites do. I recently received an iv for an illness and the puncture site turned into a scar that flares up to..all of the spots get itchy, red, and scaley. Freckles are starting to develope in the older ringworm spots.
Ringworms what you describe are superficial fungal infections. It can be treated completely it the antifungal is taken in its full course. It may occur repeated in the same site if it is not treated completely or if the area is anatomically prone for infection. By history it seems like you have a hyperreactive skin and prone to develop scars following any injury. There are many conditions which will have such clinical presentation. Consult a dermatologist for expert help.
