Treated For Syphilis. Reoccured Several Bumps Near The Lesion. Advisable To Continue Left Over Amoxicillin For Possible Re Infection?

I was treated for syphilis by receiving an injection of penicillin about 3 weeks ago. I had a dry lesion on my penis that I thought was there from shaving. The doctor stated, it was definitely from syphilis. It took some time for the lesion to heal. This morning I noticed several bumps forming near the same lesion. Is this a possible re infection? I have some left over amoxicillin from a previous diagnosis, will this clear this up finally? Helpless...

Thank you for consulting HCM.Although reinfection after treated with pencillin is rare but make sure your partner is also treated well otherwise you may have chance of reinfection from your partner.You and your partner have to be tested with VDRL once again and according to that treatment will be prescribed.Usually TAB.DOXICYCLIN 100mg per oral twice a day for 14 days is prescribed.Before using any drugs you must consult your doctor for correct advice please dont prescribe medicines for yourself with the previous prescription.Thank you.
