Treatment For Harpies & Precautions
I am 74 year old .I am suffering from harpies for the last three days . What are the precautions which I should take as the Doctor has told me that the rashes on my right thigh are on account of harpies and I am taking Aciclovit 800 mg - 1 TDS and applying Acivir cream besides Lignocaine too 3 times a day

thanks for choosing health care magic.Dear Mr.Vijay herpes zoster is a viral disease ,and you are taking treatment for same.But in most of the cases 800mg 5 times in a day for 7 days is the standard dose so please ask your doctor if have some confusion.Other wise you should not worry,take light and healthy diet and it will get cured.buy take care.

Thanks, should I clean the rashes daily with cotton immersed in hot water or the rashes should not come in contact with water

Herpese like other Viral disease is also self limiting ailment , you can take cap Neem and Tab of Phyllanthus niruri in dose of 1 tab qid for better results
you can also apply fine paste of Neem Bark to avoid burning and pain of eruptions

As is well known herpes is a viral disease. But this if not taken care of yeilds long lasting trouble. In allopathy go by the advice of Dr. Pragnesh add Bcomplex also. but in ayurveda we prefer to apply calamina lotion over it or there is a herb having three leaves and sour in taste found around wells, here we call it tin patia this is rubbed in curd and applied locally to give soothing effect. internally gandhak rasayan and haridra khand is given. have light nourishing diet.
