My mom was just diagnosed with congestive heart failure due to a visit to a kidney specialist. Her kidney function is poor. She said the doctor told her they were functioning half of what they should be. She had sonograms of her heart and kidneys several weeks ago. She goes back on Sept. 7 for results. I am very concerned and live 5 hours away from her. She is 66 years old and has suffered two heart attacks when she was 55. She has smoked for years and has diabetes. I know the diagnosis with that combination isn t great but I really don t know what type of questions to ask at this follow up visit to get results from the sonograms. Could you advise me what to ask? Thank you for any help you could give me. I am her daughter and very concerned.
