Treatment For Nervousness And Heart Palpitations While Eating?

Hi my name is Lori. I have been having this problem for a few weeks now and the doctors can't seem to figure out what it is. Everytime I eat I start getting this real nervous feeling like something bad is going to happen. Then most of the time I will start having heart palpitations and it scares me to death. It only happens when I eat. The main problem like I said is just a very anxious feeling like I'm about to die or something. They put me on anxiety medicine and it helps most of the time but, what in the world could this be. It just started out of the blue one night and has happened ever since. Thanks so much for your help!

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

I think, you have generalized anxiety disorder. In that case, you should consult a psychiatrist and get yourself proper evaluated. You need few antidepressant and low dose benzodiazepine, that would help to control these anxiety symptoms. You can also do relaxation exercise that would keep you calm.

Thanks
